Dinkan & Dinkoism
A brief introduction
If you are familiar with 'Flying Spaghetti Monster' then it won't be hard to understand Dinkan or Dinkoism.

Dinkoism emerged in Kerala as a response to the nonsensical involvement of religions and their blind followers in the daily lives of people and politics. Dinkoism is a parody or genuine religion - it's up to you to judge them - created with an intention of ridiculing "the absurdity of blind religious faith"( source Wikipedia ). Dinkan was a comic character who appeared in a comic book in the language Malayalam during early 80s. Trust me the creators of the character had no idea what their creation will be used to represent in this 21st century. The super mouse Dinkan was much familiar to Milllenials of Kerala back in 80s and 90s just as many other home-made comic heroes. But a few years back some how Dinkan got elevated to be a symbol of rationalism and a related ideology came to be known as Dinkoism. Please note it's not like communism or capitalism, Dinkoism is mainly used for making fun of blind faith in Gods(terrestrial/non-terrestrial) or God like figures, which includes the innumerous Human Gods who survive in India. As we all know this great sub-continent India is home to some of famous religions, as time passed situation became so wierd that anyone can be a God or at least a spiritual leader. That is among the billion population, millions can be God.

Dinkoism became a democratic way of expressing the resistance/disagreement to such hoax spirituality and religions. India is the largest democracy where all of its citizens are treated the same irrespective of faith, religion, sexuality, gender. But the population which is divided into religions and (goddamn) castes always has a tendency to believe that size of their homogeneous population can influence the law making and rule the rest based on what their faith tells them, which is absolute non sense. In such situations Dinkoism kicks in just to make them realize how easy is to create a religion or cult like theirs and make others suffer because of their stupidity.

About the work
A while back I came to know about Dinkoism and got excited about the concept. At that time there wasn't a perfect illustration of Dinkan available, so I traced the original character from a comic. Gave this tagline "In Dinkan We Trust" to show the Super God dimension of Dinkan. Then I created this poster with some facebook/twitter cover images and forgot about it. Later I started seeing it in different Dinkoism related posts and as display pictures and eventually one day got featured in a BBC Trending article too.
Feeling happy for contributing to branding Dinkoism and also becoming a part of movement.
May Dinkan be with you ;)
